Through the glass, you can see the bakers are working hard to make all kinds of bread. From the whole European bag to the coffee dessert, the fragrance is savoury! Cracked wall recommended to celebrate bread! The skin is crisp and a bite of the slag is straight, the layer is clear, the interior is soft and full of butter! Definitely one of the best celery breads in Chicago! Cheese ham is full of sesame meat, and I like it too! ​

Landmark restaurants and cuisine in Chicago. Here Deep Dish Pizza has the same thickness as a cake, with cheese, tomato sauce, ham, sausage meat, etc. in the middle, and the ingredients are super sufficient. Ordinary pizza, about 4 or 5 people can eat it.

I suppose it doesn&#39;t make sense to order filet mignon or tilapia at an Italian-American restaurant that has been cooking delicious rigatoni and bruschetta and orechiette and black linguini and two-sausage pizza for 20 years. But, on this night, I had a taste for filet mignon. Tarantino&#39;s 10-ounce filet was seasoned, grilled and glistening with truffle butter, something right out of the best steakhouse in town. Medium well and tender. I couldn&#39;t have asked for more. My wife traces her bloodlines to northern Italy so the menu excited her from the grilled polenta to the apricot crusted rack of lamb with rosemary mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. I passed up the high recommended mixed heirloom tomato salad with fresh mozzarella in favor of the parmesan shrimp. What can I say? I&#39;m a sucker for a tasty shrimp dish. The filet mignon with mushrooms and asparagus and green beans and rosemary whipped potatoes was a culinary masterpiece. Next time I&#39;ll probably order the 16-ounce bone-in ribeye. Finally, we shared a wonderful plate of tiramisu. How can you dine at an Italian restaurant without trying the tiramisu? And would any self-respecting Italian restaurant not include home-made tiramisu on its menu?

You&#39;d think that living on the Gold Coast would limit the number of good sandwich shops and pizza parlors and hot dog stands that are easily accessible. Not so. There are many of them in the Lincoln Park and Logan Square neighborhoods. One of the best sandwich shops is Branko&#39;s Submarines at 1118 West Fullerton Avenue. It isn&#39;t very glitzy. But they&#39;ve been a popular destination in the area for more than 30 years. You have a choice, stand and eat at the counter along the right wall or order a carry-out and take it home to eat while watching a football or basketball or hockey or baseball game. At Branko&#39;s, it&#39;s called &quot;stand food.&quot; They serve Chicago classics--Vienna beef hot dogs, grilled chicken, Italian beef and gyros, all prepared with a personal touch by the same family that has operated the restaurant since 1976. I&#39;m particularly fond of the Vienna beef hot dog with natural casing and dill pickle slices or the hot dog with chili and the Italian beef sandwich with paper-thin sliced beef that has a lot of backbone. There are a dozen varieties of subs to choose from, including Italian cold cuts, turkey, roast beef, corned beef and Swiss, tuna, grilled chicken, gyros, salami and cheese and ham and provolone. And don&#39;t forget Branko&#39;s specialties, including grilled chicken, patty melt, Italian sausage, Italian beef, cod filet, corned beef, reuben, turkey and gyros. It&#39;s usually too crowded to stand around and enjoy the ambience so we prefer to order a couple of hot sandwiches and a couple of cold sandwiches to go. We live only a few blocks away from the DePaul University campus but we usually finish off the hot sandwich before we get home. Just before the kickoff.
